Malaga offers a wealth of attractions for visitors. The old town, also known as Casco Antiguo, is a maze of narrow streets leading to historic squares, churches and museums. Popular attractions include Málaga Cathedral, the Alcazaba (a Moorish fortress), and the Roman theater.

A highlight of the city is the Picasso Museum, dedicated to the famous painter Pablo Picasso, who was born in Málaga. The museum houses an extensive collection of his works and offers insight into his life and artistic development.

Málaga also has beautiful beaches that make it a popular destination for sun worshippers. The most famous beach is La Malagueta, which is just a few minutes walk from the city center.
